With the growing popularity of the IPod® and other .mp3 players, The Northern Kentucky High School Sports Report will begin podcasting the show starting on day 1.

Question:  What is podcasting???

Answer:  Podcasting is a method of distributing sound files via a dedicated XML feed. Using podcasting software, you will choose the content you want once, and from that moment it will delivered to you regularly. The software does all the work, reaching out to this site all the time, automatically downloading sound files when they are posted.

PC Users - Use Juice® for Podcasting*:
Click here to download the Juice® receiver. Follow the prompts to install the software. Run the Juice® executable. Click the green circle with the plus sign on it to set up your subscriptions. Clicking the green circle will open a prompt where you put in the feed URL. To get the feed URL, right click on the podcast address button below next to the feed you want. Select the Copy Shortcut option from the menu. Paste the URL into the ipodder URL prompt. For an example, the url for the show podcasts is: http://www.nokysportsreport.com/podcasts/showpodcasts.xml.  You will now automatically receive sound files as they are posted. To start listening, click the green square with the arrows (the first icon). This will check for new podcasts. Press the green play button next to the audio you want to listen to. To put the audio on your MP3 player, upload the files to your player from the folder you are pointing to. To find the folder, go to File, Preferences. For more ipodder help, click here.
